My God is so Big! Let me give you a little insight as to why I am saying this:
I love being outside. I like playing games like football or softball in the summer. I like to run, not only for excersise, but because I enjoy it! And sledding in the winter, what could be better than that? (Except making snow angels of course) Out of everything that I do outside though, looking at the stars is probabaly my favorite! I love to walk down to the beach, sit in the sand, and look up. I just sit there and stare.....
When I look up at the sky I just breathe, big deep breaths, and just sit there. While I'm looking up, I think and I talk to God. It's so peaceful to look around at the creation that GOD has made. But the best part is when God speaks to me. Now do I have to be outside to hear Him? No. But it's my favorite place to go, because I feel so close to Him. It's just me and Him, outside sitting together.
Last night I went outside. It had been raining a little. It was a good fall day to be outside.....And I looked up. As I did God started speaking to me. I had read Job 38-42 where God is telling Job about all He has created. GOD asked Job if he had been the one who created the world, or the one who knew how everyhting worked, how everything needed to happen. Was he there at the beginning of time and knew how everything worked? Job answered and said, NO. You are God, you are everything, you created everything, who am I to question you. As I was reading this, I was thinking how true it really is.
GOD is amazing! He is so good! He created EVERYTHING. AND here God is in our lives saying look what I have done! I have created everything! I am a BIG God. I have all wisdom and knowledge. Look at what I have done. And we sit back and question God. Why is this happening? Why am I going through this? Why can't this happen this way? Where are you? Are you listening to me? And this is what God shared with me....
If I would just take a minute to stop and think about everything He has done, everything HE created (including me), to just take a minute and think about Him instead of me, then I would realize He is BIG enough to handle anything and everything about my life. If I would just stop thinking about how He should be what I want Him to be and think about HIM, who He truly is instead, then everything will be just fine.
When I take the time to think about HIM because I want to know HIm, I see how BIG HE truly is. And I realize that everything is exactly as it should be. Me thinking about God and not me, allowing HIM to be the BIG God that He wants to be in my life.
